Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Solstice (“Solstice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit our website, purchase a subscription, access the Solstice Discord server, participate in our services, or otherwise communicate with us.

In this Privacy Policy, the Solstice website, Discord community, subscription features, trading announcements, market commentary, newsletters, educational materials, portfolio review sessions, customer support, and related offerings are collectively referred to as the “Service.”

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information processed independently by third-party services such as Stripe or Discord, except to the extent that Solstice receives information from those services.

1. Information We Collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with the Service.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Your name;
  • Email address;
  • Account username;
  • Discord username, user ID, display name, or other Discord account identifiers;
  • Contact information;
  • Subscription plan and membership information;
  • Information included in customer-support requests;
  • Information submitted through forms, surveys, questionnaires, or the contact page;
  • Communications you send to Solstice;
  • Feedback, reviews, or testimonials you voluntarily provide;
  • Information you voluntarily provide during a portfolio review or educational consultation; and
  • Any other information you choose to provide.

You are not required to provide information that is unrelated to the Service. You should not provide brokerage passwords, complete payment-card details, Social Security numbers, tax-identification numbers, private keys, seed phrases, or other highly sensitive financial credentials through the Service.

1.2 Subscription and Transaction Information

When you purchase or manage a subscription, we may receive transaction-related information from Stripe, such as:

  • Your billing name;
  • Billing email address;
  • Billing address or country;
  • Subscription plan;
  • Subscription status;
  • Transaction amount and currency;
  • Payment date;
  • Payment method type;
  • The last four digits and expiration information associated with a payment card;
  • Transaction, invoice, customer, or subscription identifiers;
  • Payment success or failure status;
  • Refund, dispute, or chargeback information; and
  • Fraud-prevention or risk-related information.

Solstice does not store your complete payment-card number, card verification code, or complete bank-account credentials. Payment information entered during checkout is transmitted to and processed by Stripe.

1.3 Discord Information

When you join or participate in the Solstice Discord server, we may collect or have access to information available through Discord, including:

  • Your Discord username, display name, avatar, and user ID;
  • Your server membership and assigned roles;
  • The date you joined or left the server;
  • Messages, reactions, files, links, and other content you post within the Solstice server;
  • Your participation in text or voice channels;
  • Moderation records, warnings, reports, or enforcement actions;
  • Information indicating whether your Discord account is connected to an active subscription; and
  • Technical or activity information made available to server administrators or through authorized Discord integrations.

Messages and other content posted within shared Discord channels may be visible to other authorized members of the server.

Solstice does not ordinarily record voice discussions or portfolio review sessions. If a session will be recorded, we will provide notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law before recording begins.

Discord independently collects and processes information about your use of its platform. Discord’s collection and use of that information are governed by Discord’s own privacy policy and terms.

1.4 Website, Device, and Usage Information

When you visit our website or interact with the Service, we or our service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • Browser type and version;
  • Device type;
  • Operating system;
  • Language and general regional settings;
  • Referring and exit pages;
  • Pages viewed;
  • Links clicked;
  • Date and time of access;
  • Session duration;
  • Approximate location derived from an IP address;
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technical identifiers;
  • Login, authentication, and subscription-access events;
  • Website errors, performance information, and diagnostic logs; and
  • Information about how you navigate and interact with the Service.

We do not use IP addresses or similar information to identify your precise physical location.

1.5 Communications and Support Information

When you contact us, we may collect your contact details, the content of your request, related correspondence, attachments, and information needed to investigate and respond to your request.

Customer-support communications may be retained to resolve issues, maintain records, prevent abuse, improve the Service, and comply with legal obligations.

1.6 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from third parties, including:

  • Stripe;
  • Discord;
  • Website hosting and cloud-service providers;
  • Authentication providers;
  • Analytics providers;
  • Email and communications providers;
  • Fraud-prevention and security providers; and
  • Other service providers acting on our behalf.

We may combine information received from third parties with information we collect directly, provided that the combined information is used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

2.4 Security, Fraud Prevention, and Enforcement

We may use information to:

  • Protect accounts and access credentials;

  • Diagnose technical problems; and
  • Protect the rights, safety, and property of Solstice, our users, and others.

2.5 Analytics and Service Improvement

We may use information to:

  • Understand how users interact with the website and Service;
  • Measure website traffic, engagement, and service performance;
  • Identify errors and improve reliability;
  • Evaluate which features and content are useful;
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the Service; and
  • Produce aggregated or de-identified statistics.

We do not attempt to reidentify information that has been properly aggregated or de-identified, except when necessary to test whether our de-identification processes are effective.

2.6 Legal and Compliance Purposes

We may use information to:

  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, subpoenas, and lawful government requests;
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  • Maintain records required for tax, accounting, consumer-protection, and corporate purposes;
  • Investigate disputes and chargebacks;
  • Respond to privacy requests; and
  • Enforce our agreements and policies.

3. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.

3.1 Service Providers

We may provide information to companies that perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Payment processing;
  • Website hosting;
  • Cloud storage;
  • Account authentication;
  • Discord integrations and membership management;
  • Email distribution;
  • Customer support;
  • Analytics;
  • Cybersecurity;
  • Fraud prevention;
  • Accounting;
  • Legal services; and
  • Other business operations.

These providers may access personal information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for Solstice and are expected to process information in accordance with applicable contractual and legal obligations.

3.2 Stripe

We disclose payment and transaction information to Stripe as necessary to process payments, administer subscriptions, prevent fraud, handle disputes, and provide related financial services.

Stripe may process personal information as a service provider to Solstice and, in certain circumstances, for Stripe’s own independent purposes, such as fraud prevention, legal compliance, and improving its services.

Stripe’s handling of personal information is governed by its own privacy policy and applicable agreements.

3.3 Discord

We may use Discord to provide community access, text and voice communications, membership roles, announcements, and other subscription features.

Information you provide through Discord is also processed by Discord under Discord’s own privacy policy and terms. Solstice does not control Discord’s independent collection, use, retention, or disclosure of information.

Your activity and content within shared Solstice Discord channels may be visible to other authorized community members.

3.4 Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law or legal process;
  • Respond to a lawful government request;
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Solstice, our users, or another person;
  • Investigate fraud, security incidents, or violations of our policies;
  • Prevent or address illegal activity; or
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

3.5 Business Transactions

If Solstice is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be disclosed to advisers, potential counterparties, or successors as part of that transaction.

Any successor that receives personal information will be required to handle it in accordance with applicable law and the privacy commitments applicable at the time of transfer, unless you are provided with notice of a change.

3.6 With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, request an integration or service involving a third party, or otherwise provide consent.

3.7 Aggregated or De-identified Information

We may disclose information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be associated with a particular individual or household.

4. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Solstice does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

Solstice does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as that term is defined under California law, and does not use personal information to deliver targeted advertisements across unrelated websites or services.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices, consent mechanisms, or opt-out methods required by applicable law.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, log files, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the website functioning;
  • Maintain sessions;
  • Authenticate users;
  • Remember preferences;
  • Prevent fraud;
  • Protect the Service;
  • Understand website usage;
  • Measure performance; and
  • Diagnose technical issues.

Cookies may include:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for website functionality, security, authentication, or subscription management;
  • Preference cookies, which remember settings and choices; and
  • Analytics cookies, which help us understand website traffic and usage.

You may be able to control certain cookies through your browser settings or a cookie-management tool made available on the website. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent portions of the Service from functioning properly.

Do Not Track and Opt-Out Preference Signals

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not a uniform industry standard for interpreting every Do Not Track signal, our website may not respond to traditional Do Not Track signals.

Where required by applicable law, we will recognize qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Because Solstice does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, enabling such a signal may not change your experience with the Service.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Service, administering subscriptions, maintaining security, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations.

The applicable retention period depends on factors such as:

  • The nature and sensitivity of the information;
  • The purpose for which the information was collected;
  • Whether you maintain an active subscription or account;
  • The length of our relationship with you;
  • Applicable limitation periods;
  • Tax, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements;
  • Fraud-prevention and security needs;
  • Pending disputes, investigations, or legal proceedings; and
  • Whether deletion is technically feasible within active systems and backups.

Account and subscription information is generally retained while your account or subscription remains active and for a reasonable period afterward.

Transaction, invoice, refund, dispute, and accounting records may be retained for the period required to satisfy tax, financial, legal, and audit obligations.

Security logs, access records, and fraud-prevention information may be retained for a reasonable period based on security and risk-management needs.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete it, anonymize it, or isolate it from active use. Information may remain in encrypted or restricted backups until those backups are overwritten or deleted through our ordinary retention cycle.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards may include:

  • Access controls;
  • Authentication measures;
  • Encryption where appropriate;
  • Restricted administrative permissions;
  • Secure third-party service providers;
  • Monitoring and logging;
  • Software and infrastructure updates; and
  • Internal procedures for handling personal information.

No website, network, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee that personal information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or destroyed without authorization.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, Discord account, email account, and devices. You should use unique passwords, enable multi-factor authentication when available, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information;
  • Request access to personal information we maintain about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • Request deletion of certain personal information;
  • Request a portable copy of certain personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing practices;
  • Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Appeal a decision regarding a privacy request; and
  • Receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

These rights are not absolute. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by law, including when we cannot verify your identity, need the information to complete a transaction, must retain the information to comply with law, or an applicable legal exception applies.

Submitting a Privacy Request

You may submit a privacy request through the contact page on the Solstice website.

Your request should:

  • Identify the type of request you are making;
  • Provide the email address or Discord identifier associated with your account; and
  • Include enough information for us to locate the relevant records.

We may request additional information to verify your identity and protect your account. We will use verification information only for identity verification, fraud prevention, security, and compliance with the request.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If additional time is reasonably necessary and legally permitted, we will notify you.

Authorized Agents

Where permitted by law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf.

We may require evidence that the agent has authority to act for you and may separately ask you to verify your identity or confirm the request.

Account and Discord Information

Deleting information from Solstice’s systems may not delete information independently retained by Stripe, Discord, financial institutions, or other third parties. Requests concerning information controlled independently by those parties must be submitted directly to the relevant party.

Messages or content you posted in shared Discord channels may remain visible if Discord retains the content, another member quoted or copied it, or retention is necessary for moderation, security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

9. California Privacy Notice

This section supplements the remainder of this Privacy Policy for California residents and applies to the extent Solstice is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended.

9.1 Categories of Personal Information

During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information:

  1. Identifiers, such as name, email address, IP address, account username, Discord username, Discord user ID, and transaction identifiers;
  2. Customer-record information, such as contact details, billing information, and account information;
  3. Commercial information, such as subscription plans, purchase history, transaction information, invoices, refunds, and subscription status;
  4. Internet or electronic-network activity, such as website interactions, device information, browser information, access logs, cookie identifiers, and Discord participation information;
  5. Approximate geolocation information, such as a general location inferred from an IP address;
  6. Audio, electronic, or similar information, such as communications, support messages, Discord content, and recordings where a session is recorded with appropriate notice and consent;
  7. Professional or financial information voluntarily provided by you, such as general employment, trading, investment, or portfolio information submitted during an educational portfolio review; and
  8. Sensitive personal information, limited to information such as account login credentials and payment-related information processed for authentication, subscription administration, security, and payment processing.

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

9.2 Sources of Personal Information

  • Other sources you direct or authorize.

9.3 Purposes for Collection and Use

We collect and use these categories for the purposes described in Section 2, including providing the Service, processing subscriptions, communicating with users, maintaining security, preventing fraud, analyzing and improving the Service, and complying with legal obligations.

9.4 Categories Disclosed for Business Purposes

During the preceding 12 months, we may have disclosed the categories listed above to:

  • Payment processors;

  • Discord and integration providers;

We disclose information only for the business or commercial purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

9.5 Sale and Sharing

During the preceding 12 months, Solstice has not sold personal information for monetary consideration and has not shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9.6 California Rights

Subject to applicable law, California residents may have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about them;
  • Know the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients associated with that information;
  • Request deletion;
  • Request correction;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
  • Limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information;
  • Obtain portable access to certain information; and
  • Exercise these rights without unlawful discrimination.

Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics, certain opt-out or limitation rights may not apply to our current practices.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.

Solstice does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Solstice, please contact us through the contact page.

11. International Users and Data Transfers

Solstice and its service providers may process and store personal information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.

The privacy and data-protection laws of those countries may differ from the laws in your place of residence.

Where required, we will use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers of personal information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your state, province, or country, subject to applicable law.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Service may include links to third-party websites, platforms, brokers, market-data services, or other resources.

Solstice does not control and is not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third parties. Your interactions with a third party are governed by that third party’s own terms and privacy policy.

The inclusion of a link or integration does not mean that Solstice endorses or controls the third party’s privacy practices.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to the Service, our information practices, legal requirements, or operational needs.

When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or disclose personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.

Your continued use of the Service after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy. Where applicable law requires consent to a change, we will request consent separately.

14. Contact Us

Questions, concerns, complaints, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our handling of personal information may be submitted through the contact page on the Solstice website.

When submitting a privacy request, please provide enough information for us to identify your account and understand your request. Do not provide passwords, full payment-card numbers, brokerage credentials, private keys, seed phrases, or other highly sensitive information.
